Dr. Haile Tadesse, GIS Specialist

Haile K. Tadesse (Ph.D.) is a GIS specialist at the Center for Community Engagement, Environmental Justice, and Health. He graduated from George Mason University (USA) in Environmental Science and Public Policy. His master’s is in Physical Land Resources Management (Ghent University, Belgium). He has a decade-long research experience in GIS data analysis and visualizations, remote sensing data classification and change detection, drone data analysis, watershed modeling using SWAT and APEX models, environmental science, soil science, and data mining. He has been analyzing data for and from federal government agencies (USGS, EPA, and USDA) and published several manuscripts in various journals.
